Our department carries out four core activities: • Identifying and highlighting potential risks and weaknesses in internal controls to prevent issues before they arise • Providing assurance of compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies through reporting to management and stakeholders • Identifying audit targets and promoting process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations • Detecting errors, misconduct, and issues to protect Nissan’s reputation and business performance

Since 2019, the Global Internal Audit Office has reported directly to the Audit Committee, where outside directors hold the majority, further strengthening corporate governance.
